ArtByte Foundation to Sponsor The Decentralized Art Show in Miami

The ArtByte Foundation is pleased to sponsor the Decentralized Art Show in Miami this Friday, January 19th.

The Decentralized Art Show is a place for artists to show their work and learn how to sell it for cryptocurrency. The show is held in conjunction with the North American Bitcoin Conference in Miami on Jan.18th & 19th 2018. Artists at the show will be able to sell their work for either ArtByte or Bitcoin.

In addition to the live event in Miami, the art show will be filmed in 3D, allowing art fans around the world to experience the show in VR and purchase the art works.

  • ArtByte Music Store to accept Bitcoins, as well as ArtByte
    • There are currently no music download sites accepting Bitcoin. ArtByte Music Store is the only site currently accepting digital currency (ArtBytes) for music downloads. An API will convert Bitcoin purchases to ArtBytes, which will be deposited in the musicians ArtByte wallet.
    • The addition of BTC payments will provide an additional service to musicians as well as introducing Bitcoiners to ArtByte.

 

  • Increase trading liquidity in Asia, adding crypto exchanges in the region
    • Asia is now one of the fastest growing regions in terms of ArtByte users. Exchanges in Asia are needed to service these users.

  • Upgrade existing online wallet to progressive web app, which will allow the wallet to work seamlessly as an mobile APP, without requiring an app down
  • Release Android and IOS wallets as a progressive web apps, designed purely in an app format for ease of use.

 

ArtByte Gallery – Phase One – Progressive Web App

  • In phase one, the ArtByte Gallery will be aweb app allowing artists of all types to showcase their work in free profiles, receive tips and ultimately to sell their work. For example, a painter or sculptor can show a picture of their work, a musician can upload a video or audio file, a dancer can show a video of a recent performance, an actor can post a video clip or their reel, a writer can include the cover and a few pages of their work.

ArtByte Gallery – Phase Two – Progressive Web App

  • Integrate user and artist wallets into the ArtByte Gallery

    • Fans will be able to sponsor artists with monthly donations of ArtBytes (similar to Patreon accepting cash donations).

SegWit and CSV are now fully enabled on the ArtByte testnet! Up next is final testing on the new client and mining pool.

As ArtByte announced on June 10th, we are implementing SegWit on the ArtByte blockchain.

Our developers have been hard at work, and now ArtByte 0.13, including SegWit is successfully running on the test net.

UPDATE – AUGUST 15 2017

SegWit and CSV are now fully enabled on the ArtByte testnet! Up next is final testing on the new client and mining pool.

UPDATE – SEPTEMBER 19, 2017

We have mined the first block with SegWit enabled. You can see it on the ArtByte explorer. Look at the block version number, it ends in 915 which is signaling SegWit and CSV.

Neither is active but the pool miner is voting for it to be enabled on the network, when we get to 8,064/10,080 blocks signalling support for both Version Bit forks it will be locked in, another two weeks and it will be active.

Announcing the Artist Showcase

Every week, the ArtByte Foundation will showcase an artist’s work. All types of artists are eligible: painters, sculptors, musicians, writers, actors, dancers, directors, film makers, photographers, models, production team members, etc.

Winners will receive 5,000 ArtByte for the week beginning June 9, 2017.

Follow the steps below to enter:

Step #1

Create an account on the ArtByte forum (click create account on the top right of page, fill out the form and respond to your confirmation email): ArtByte Forum

Login to your online wallet and copy your wallet receive address (click “Receive” at the top of the page, then copy your address): Online wallet

Support your favorite artists and earn for yourself, during ArtByte’s Summer Artist Festival!

How it works

When you, as an artist or fan tip an artist on Twitter, the ArtByte Foundation will tip you double the amount (up to 50).

For example, if you tip another artist 50 ArtBytes, the foundation will give you 100!

You can tip as many artists as you like during the summer (up to 5 per day). You can tip any amount you like, we will reimburse the 1st 50 and double it (up to 50 bonus) Only one tip per artist.

 Rules

Artists of all kinds (musicians, actors, painters, dancers, sculptors, film makers, directors, photographers, etc) can receive tips, but must have a link to their website (for verification) for the fan giving the tip to receive double back.

You can only tip each artist once, and the double back bonus is limited to five tips per day. So if you tip more than five times a day, you will only get double back on the first five tipped each day.

To join the event, your twitter account must be at least 90 days old, have a minimum of 25 tweets, and have a picture in the account icon.

The reimbursed tip amount and the bonus amount will change from time to time based on the price of ArtByte.
